Memory Lane

This picture shows you how little addie was on her first trip to Lubbock. It was the beginning of October! So she was about 6ish weeks old.

Visiting papa in his office. No, I didn't take her there unclothed. She had just gotten her diaper changed and papa wanted to hold her before I got her clothes back on :)

This looks like a little girl who is enjoying the luxury of the "suite life" at a Tech football game!

It's time for bed....Addie loved Nana reading bedtime stories.

MMMMMMM......Nana bought cupcakes! This is one of my all time favorite pics of Addison!!

First it was Kellen, then it was Addie. What is it about this green bucket. It always found its way on top of the kids head. Goof Balls

Hey Bucket Head, can you even see chief??

Nana's pantry was famous for goodies perfect for a little grandkid!

Little Missy was a perfect little shadow for papa's outdoor chores!!

Of course, going for a stroll in the back yard in Nana's shoes

Miss piggy tails eating one of Nana's yummy meals

What would a trip to lubbock be with out helping papa make his special chocolate chip cookies!!

Well...every good thing must come to an end. What a ride Lubbock has given our family! First it was dad. Then it was Dad, and I. Next came mom. Then it was Mom, Dad, and Brendan. Two of us managed to call Texas home while the other two can still say home is where your mom and dad are. I know for all of us coming to the house truely felt like "home sweet home"! Mac Davis wrote the song "Texas in my rear view mirror". It was about leaving lubbock, tx to go live his dream and sang the chorus of Lubbock in my rear view mirror. I know leaving is a good thing! Tyler will bring lots of new memories!! Recently I learned of something else about Mac Davis. He wrote another song called "Stop and Smell the Roses". Well folks, Tyler just so happens to be the rose capital of the world. So....I know what I'll be doing when I visit. Taking time to stop and smell the roses and truely appreciate what God has given our family...the gift of Love, Laughter, and a family who is always there for each other!

Happy Easter 2011

Addie was so excited to wear her dress because it had a necklace on it!!

So family pictures didn't go so well. Addie was more interested in playing outside than taking a picture. So this was the best one of all three of us :)

My little princess looked absolutely beautiful on Easter! I just love her little smile.

Putting on her little cardigan. There was a cool wind outside Easter morning.

Addie's first pony ride

Addison got to ride this pony named Lilly at the Tangynika wildlife park on Thursday. I wasn't sure if she would actually do it. I know she has always loved horses when they were out to pasture and she loved reading about them in books, but once you are right next to them it is different. She did awesome. She loved her horse and she wanted to keep riding all day long. I wish we could have, but the horse ride was $4 a ride. We will be back though! Who knows, maybe we will just get our own horse! HAHA

Arch Madness and The Magic House

The night we got to St. Louis the kids were so excited to see each other, mark included, and the went straight to jumping on the bed and dancing to music!

I love this pic, vince is flying.

Sammy, Vince, and Addie just arriving at the Magic House in St. Louis. This place is 5 stories and full of rooms, nooks, and cranies that kept these kids entertained for well over 4 hours. It was amazing. There is no way to explain to you all the fun stuff, but below are several pictures of just some of the cool things they had for kids.

I was so proud, they had a minature hospital with babies. Addie went straight to the stethescope and knew exactly what to do with it.

Ok, this was the giant bean stock. It was 5 stories tall and placed in the center of a spiral staircase. Miss Addison was brave enough to go in it and climb through out it, but you can see in this picture that she is stuck. Her poor little feet couldn't reach the next level and she panics. Plus, there are tons of kids (you can't see) that freak her out too. So we had to find an employee to go in after her. She was crying for me to help her, but I couldn't and I felt so bad.

here she is going into the bean stock.

This is a picture of the very top of it.

Addie talking on the phone in the oval office.

Sammy on an important phone call, and vince assisting him.

Mark was so graciously holding addie while she gave her speech. It was cute, the microphone worked and she loved hearing herself.

Just another area that the kids could play.

A pretend grocery store.. this was funny, because it was so close to lunch time and Addison was hungry. She actually tried eating the bread and a couple other things. That was when I decided it was time to break for lunch and continue going through the rest of Magic House afterwards.

Mark got into the shower, so all of the kids flocked to get in with him. Notice addie is already pretending to shower and she is not even in it yet.

this girl's not afraid of a little dirt. (did you notice she is still wearing the goggles..haha)

How funny is this, I loved that she put everything on!

What a cute little architect checking out the job site.

Sammy playing with a tape measure.

This was funny, addie made curtis get into this truck

The handy manny room had lots of trucks.

Playing with glowing sand! So cool

We had just arrived for the Arch Madness at the Scott Trade Center. Needless to say, Addie loves Vince!

Addie was pouting!

Addie was done, she fell asleep wearing mommys hat :)

Recent Randomness!!!

Addie and her daddy reading bedtime books. Curtis chose 'Peter Rabbit' and addie chose 'Fancy Nancy'

a bedtime smooch

So precious....see, they were reading peacefully until I decided to come in the room with my camera :)

Say...CHHHEEEESSSSEEE. Doesn't addie just make you laugh in this picture.

This little girl eats everything to the last drop.

Well, what would be a blog post without addison talking on the phone. Oh and the headband, this is her latest fashion accessory.

She took out all the Tupperware to make room for herself, and chloe. (the doors were closed but I opened them for a picture)

Playing in the snow

Apparently, addie can open the finger nail polish on her own. While she was home with curtis this is what she did...( I would just like to point out that she did manage to paint her toenails and fingernails perfectly...but added her thigh and stomach to the mix)

Snow Much Fun

Talking on the phone...what else is a girl suppose to do :)

Oh my gosh, she was so happy this day. If only I could bottle up her happiness!

Daddy running her up and down the hills. I love how she is just sitting there like a stuffed eskimo.

Enjoying the snow.

So last year I bought Addison a really nice snow bib one size too big so that it would fit her last her and this year (those suckers are over $60). Then this year I invested in a really good coat that will fit her this year and next, and I bought her some boots for this year only...because those probably won't even last her to March...haha her feet grow so fast :)
This Winter has not given us any oppurtunities to utilize her cute snow bib and matching jacket or her cute purple snow boots. Why, because I was prepared. I gaurentee that if I was not prepared for snow we would have had it started in November. Instead, the boots and gear were all here and ready to be worn in November and then it comes and goes, December comes and goes, FINALLY it's January and we get enough snow to play outside! Oh how excited I was. Here are just a few pictures of us enjoying the oppurtunity :)
